Corrections Policy
Getting the facts right matters to us. At Verdict Pending, we strive for accuracy and absolute transparency in all our legal reporting and case analysis. We understand that our readers rely on our insights to understand complex legal proceedings, and maintaining that trust is our highest priority. Despite our commitment to rigorous fact-checking and editorial review, mistakes can happen. When they do, we believe readers deserve to know. We are dedicated to acknowledging errors quickly and correcting them clearly to ensure the record remains accurate.

How We Handle Corrections
- When a reader reaches out about a factual error, I investigate immediately. If a correction is warranted, I amend the post as quickly as possible and add a note at either the top or bottom of the post explaining what was changed and when. This ensures that the record is corrected while maintaining transparency about the original mistake.
- Updates Aren't Corrections
In ongoing legal cases, information changes rapidly. Adding new developments such as a new filing or an afternoon statement is considered an update, not a correction. We clearly label these as 'UPDATE' followed by the time and date of the additional information. - Small Changes
Minor typos, grammatical fixes, or formatting adjustments that do not change the factual meaning of a report are typically processed without a formal correction notice. However, if a spelling error involves a person's name, a case number, or a key legal term, we treat it as a formal correction.
Tell Us If You Spot Something
If you believe a story we have published contains an error, please let us know by emailing our editorial team. We investigate all reporting-related inquiries and will issue a formal correction if an error is confirmed. Please provide the story title, date, and a brief description of the factual inaccuracy you encountered.
Our Commitment
Our goal is to ensure that our legal analysis remains a trusted resource for the community. By being transparent about our mistakes and prompt and clear in our corrections, we maintain the integrity of our reporting on pending verdicts and judicial proceedings. We thank our readers for their vigilance and continued support in helping us stay accurate.
